  • Early Lead Gives St. John Paul II Victory Over St. Vincent, 17-7 
  • St. John Paul II jumped out to an early lead on St. Vincent and captured a 17-7 victory on Tuesday at Forest Rd. 
  • With eight runs in the first three innings, St. John Paul II left no doubt about the eventual outcome. 
  • St. John Paul II was led by a flawless day at the dish by Robert Stratton, who went 4-4 against St. Vincent's pitching. He singled in the first, third, fourth, and fifth innings. 
  • Pat MacDonnell got a hit in each of his three at bats. He singled in the third, fifth, and seventh innings. 
  • St. John Paul II easily handled St. Vincent pitching as eight hitters combined for 22 hits, 12 RBIs and 13 runs scored. 
  • St. John Paul II tacked on another six runs in the third. A scored Stratton to start the scoring in the inning. That was followed up by Karl Grossman's single, plating Louis Balestriere.


  • Early Lead Gives St. George Victory Over St. Francis, 16-1 
  • St. George jumped out to an early lead on St. Francis and captured a 16-1 victory on Thursday at Forest Rd. 
  • Nine runs in the first three innings allowed St. George to put the game away early. 
  • St. George hit three home runs in the win. Additional home runs for St. George came when James Richey homered in the third inning and Ryan Peters homered in the fourth inning. 
  • Peters racked up three RBIs on three hits for St. George. He singled in the first inning, tripled in the third inning, and homered in the fourth inning. 
  • Mike Cunningham boosted his batting average thanks to a perfect 3-3 day at the plate to pace St. Francis. He singled in the first, third, and fifth innings. 
  • St. George easily handled St. Francis pitching as seven hitters combined for 20 hits, 11 RBIs and 13 runs scored.


  • Offenses Dominate As St. WolfgangOutscores St. Joseph 12-11 
  • Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Thursday as St. Wolfgang outscored St. Joseph 12-11. 
  • The teams totaled 46 hits, including 13 extra base hits in the game. 
  • The teams traded runs for most of the contest, leading to seven lead changes in the game. 
  • St. Wolfgang would not relinquish the lead as St. Joseph was unable to weather a four-run ninth inning deficit. 
  • St. Joseph scored three runs in the ninth on a groundout by Stanley Lesniewski. Still, St. Joseph couldn't draw even. 
  • Mike Markowycz put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for St. Wolfgang. He tripled in the first inning, singled in the second inning, and doubled in the fifth inning. 
  • St. Wolfgang easily handled St. Joseph pitching as seven hitters combined for 18 hits, nine RBIs and eight runs scored. 
  • In the top of the first, St. Wolfgang grabbed the early lead, 2-0. Anthony Blasi singled, bringing home Markowycz after a triple by Markowycz got things started. The scoreboard lit up again for St. Wolfgang when Blasi scored on an RBI single by Peter Chemidlin
  • St. Joseph scored four runs of its own in the first. St. Joseph scored on a two-run triple by Gus Alvarez, an RBI double by Todd Feinberg, and an RBI single by Tom Swales
  • St. Wolfgang tied the game in the second on a two-run single by Markowycz that scored Rich Polhamus and Geoff Dickstein
  • St. Joseph brought home three runs in the third inning, and matched that run total in the ninth. In the third, St. Joseph scored on an RBI double by Tom Swales, scoring Feinberg. 
  • St. Wolfgang stayed on top until the final out after taking the lead in the ninth, scoring four runs on a two-run single by Brian Weber and a two-run triple by Dan Margolis.
