St. John Paul II falls 11-3 at the hands of St. Wolfgang

St. Wolfgang beat St. John Paul II on Friday 11-3 at Brookside in seven innings. 

St. Wolfgang scored four runs in the sixth on St. Wolfgang scored in the sixth on an RBI single by Chris Paterek, an RBI single by Dan Margolis, an RBI single by Rich Polhamus, and a sacrifice fly by Geoff Dickstein

Polhamus went a perfect 3-3 at the plate for St. Wolfgang. 

St. John Paul II's Thomas Ulichny was perfect at the dish, going 3-3. He singled in the first, third, and sixth innings. 

In the top of the first, St. John Paul II grabbed the early lead, 3-0. St. John Paul II got a spark in the form of a Ulichny single, before before Peter Costello doubled, scoring Ulichny. The scoreboard lit up again for St. John Paul II when Leso and Costello scored on a two-run double by Jim Killeen

St. Wolfgang went up for good in the third, scoring three runs on a two-run double by Reinaldo Santiago and an RBI single by Peter Chemidlin.

 

St. Joseph jumps on St. Francis early and coasts to 14-4 win 

St. Joseph jumped out to an early lead on St. Francis and captured a 14-4 victory on Friday at Farley. 

With nine runs in the first three innings, St. Joseph left no doubt about the eventual outcome. 

A groundout by Gus Alvarez and a sacrifice fly by Glenn Gang during the first inning and an RBI single by Dennis Reilly, a fielder's choice, and an RBI single by Garrett Yarnall in the second inning supplied the early offense for St. Joseph. 

Alvarez had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. 

Andy Wilber was solid at the plate for St. Francis. Wilber went 1-3, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the seventh inning. 

St. Joseph easily handled St. Francis pitching as seven hitters combined for 16 hits, 10 RBIs and eight runs scored. 

After posting four runs in the third, St. Joseph again scored four in the sixth. In the third, St. Joseph scored on an RBI triple by Nam-June Joe, bringing home Brendan McNamara.

 

St. Matthew second-inning burst enough to top St. Maximilian, 11-4 

A six-run explosion in the second inning spurred St. Matthew to an 11-4 win in seven innings over St. Maximilian at Jerseyland on Friday. 

St. Matthew scored in the second on an RBI single by Rich Reich, a two-run double by Wells Pikaart, an RBI double by Joe LoBrace, and a two-run double by Pat Nigro

Reich racked up two RBIs on two hits for St. Matthew. 

Pitonzo racked up two RBIs on two hits for St. Maximilian. He singled in the first inning and tripled in the fourth inning. 

St. Matthew easily handled St. Maximilian pitching as six hitters combined for 15 hits, 10 RBIs and eight runs scored. 

St. Matthew stayed on top until the final out after taking the lead in the first, scoring three runs on a solo home run by Reich and a two-run single by Nigro.
